# \synctex

La `\synctex` primitive è un'aggiunta a TEX fornita dalla [estensione SyncTEX](https://ctan.org/tex-archive/support/synctex-parser?lang=en). SyncTEX può essere attivato o disattivato tramite un'opzione della riga di comando del motore TEX oppure direttamente all'interno di un file sorgente TEX tramite la `\synctex` primitiva:

* per attivare SyncTEX, usa `\synctex=1` nel preambolo dei tuoi `.tex` file;
* per disattivare SyncTEX, usa `\synctex=0` nel preambolo dei tuoi `.tex` file;

Ecco come funziona: durante il processo di composizione di `foo.tex`, i motori TEX scrivono alcune informazioni geometriche in un file ausiliario chiamato `foo.synctex`, queste informazioni vengono poi usate dagli editor o dai visualizzatori per navigare tra input e output.
